about-family.info is based on a solution-oriented approach, problems and psychologic diagnoses are secondary.

Introduction

Since 2009 I work as a psychologist, mainly with children and adolescents. In most cases, this work is followed by work with parents or the whole family, because this is the living space that, in addition to the school and the habitat of friends, contributes significantly to the well-being of our children.

There are many parents out there, which like to know what they can do when their children are no longer doing well. This is often due to a bad conscience or feelings of guilt. But that doesn’t have to be so that parents are feeling like that.

Being a parent is difficult enough, especially in our culture, where so much of us human beings are demanded, and it is understandable that parents are often perplexed or worried about the future of their children. I know this, because I am also a father and I don’t do everything “right”.

Writing freely

For me, writing freely means that what I write is nevertheless scientifically sound. I was thinking of creating this page with scientific-style articles. [Here] I tried to do it here. It is tedious and time-consuming.

I read a lot, i have also done fortings. But most of this is based on experiences I have gained through counselling, treatment and therapy of children, adolescents and families.

Why should you read this?

Müssen Sie nicht. - Könnten Sie aber.

You don’t need to. - But you could.

On these pages you will not find much about diagnosis of mental disorders in childhood and adolescence. But hopefully many ideas that inspire you as a parent to reflect on and to develop your basic attitudes and values.

If you consider problems and diagnostics to be secondary and put the solutions first, you’ve come to the right place.
